Taste the difference
Most milk found in grocery stores doesn't have the same taste as farm fresh milk. We use a VAT pasteurization process that does not destroy the flavor of milk. Ultra-pasteurized milk can have a "cooked" or "burnt" milk flavor, but it can stay on your shelf for at least 57 days. Because ultra-pasteurized milk is heated so high (280°F instead of only 145°F for VAT pasteurization), not only do you lose flavor, but the milk begins to break down and valuable enzymes are destroyed.
You can also see the difference in our milk. It is non-homogenized, and you can actually see the cream separate from the milk. Homogenization of milk breaks the large fat globules into small fat globules which studies have shown can be absorbed intact into your blood stream.
